Finland was moping about the house doing nothing in particular when she knocked at his door.
The tree was still up, still strung with lights and popcorn garlands. Cute little sprigs of holly and mistletoe decorated a few doorways. Beautiful blown-glass ornaments sparkled on every available surface.
But it just wasn't the same. It all seems so much more melancholy when all the presents have been opened, all the songs sung, all the feasts eaten.
On the day after Christmas.
He made his sad, slow way toward the front of his house and opened the door. There was his girlfriend, standing on his steps with a box in her hands and the kind of smile on her face that suggested she didn't know how sad today was. He gave her a lame little wave and opened the door all the way for her.
"Finny!" she said brightly. "Happy Christmas!"
He sighed. "Hei (that is, "hey" in Finnish - so tough to figure out, eh?). Christmas is over, silly."
She glanced around the house, at all the decorations still in place, and back at his mopey face. "Aww, Finny, don't be like that. Don't you know, it's Boxing Day! And besides, I didn't get to see you yesterday, so I'm giving you your present now."
"I have yours too," he replied, brightening just a fraction. "And what is Boxing Day?"
She followed him to the tree, one lone gift still sitting under it, and explained. "It gets its name from when servants would receive gifts, Christmas boxes, from their masters, and they'd eat all the leftover food from the Christmas celebration of the day before, since they'd had to work while it was happening. It's like a second Christmas."
Finland's eyes lit up. "A second Christmas?" he gushed. She giggled at his sudden burst of enthusiasm.
"A second Christmas," she agreed. "Now open your present!"
Quite a bit more verve about him now, he tore open the wrapping to find a single glass ornament, delicately wrapped in tissue paper. It was almost clear, just a tiny bit of blue about it.
It was an image of two figures holding hands.
Finland broke out into a wide, goofy grin. "I love it," he told her.
Her eyes darted around the room - he didn't notice - before she grinned too. "I'm glad," she said. "When I saw it I simply couldn't pass it up. Now c'mere a minute."
"But," he protested, "you haven't opened yours yet."
"I know, but just come here a minute," she replied. She had stopped in the doorway, obviously waiting for him. He followed.
She didn't keep walking, just slowly let her eyes travel upward. Finny caught on.
He was glad he left the mistletoe up.
"Happy Boxing Day," she told him.
Maybe the day after Christmas wasn't so sad at all.

APH Merry Christmas! EnglandxReader
"Damned bloody no good rotten old excuse of a car!..."
You rested your chin in the palm of your hand and turned your head towards the window to look at the falling snow outside on this marvelous Christmas' Eve. It would've been much more marvelous if Arthur wasn't being such a pain in the ass right now...
"...I should have never even bought you in the first place! You've been causing me nothing but trouble since..."
He really isn't going to stop, isn't he?
"ARTHUR!" Your booming voice finally shut him up. He pinched his lips together and looked at you with a stubborn face.
"Shouting at the car won't make it all better, now will it? Look,

Hetalia: Norway x Reader: A Late Christmas Visit
(You Have Selected Norway/Lukas. ~Other links are in the description~)
"Oh, th'n com' in." Berwald said simply, showing you a slight smile before holding the door open for you.
You nodded to him as a thanks, he replied by doing the same, and stepped into the warm Nordic household.
However, it didn't take long to hear a familiar laugh and then the sudden cry of a certain Dane. When you looked towards the direction you believed the sound was coming from- you found a pale Mathias with his arms flailing everywhere. Why? Because a certain Norwegian man was behind the struggling Dane, with a tight arm wrapped around the said Dane's throat.
